I painted my dials black, so it's black (the top) with the "chrome" hub body. Looks pretty good to say the least. Would look even better if I kept my wheels clean. Shoot if I kept the truck clean!

I'm trying to find a set I can rebuild and have handy in the tool box. it's just as useful as keeping spare u-joints; you hope not to have to mess with it on the trail, and you might never even have to, but you got one just in case

I'm in the process of my build (Still haven't got pics because I'm almost positive someone stole my camera while I was working on my truck not paying attention).

I was just gunna put a lil motor oil around the dial but I guess a lil grease, but not too much would be better.

This thread helped me a lot. Thanks Scuba!

I bought a set from a member on here and one works but the other doesn't.

Looking through this thread it seems that I could have too much grease in the hub (it was almost caked in there) or the spring was installed wrong. I'm gonna take it apart tomorrow and see what's up.

Thanks Scuba.

I dont care what that says .. there is only 1 spring .

If you look closly at the spring ... you'll see where the 2 ends broke .
I know this is an ancient post, but it still may cause confusion.

YES, there are TWO springs. One is tightly wrapped (each coil touches the last) and the other is loosely wrapped.
