Rubbing noise, lower front CV boot
I recently replaced my front left CV axle and I've noticed that when I lock my hubs the lower CV boot makes a rubbing sound. It is a rubber rubbing on rubber sound and it's definitly coming from the lower CV boot (I jacked it up and spun the front wheel with the hub locked and pinpointed it at the lower CV boot). The noise gets louder and faster the faster I drive, Any ideas?

Is the boot itself split? If those CV boots have any opening allowing contamination to get in there it will take away the grease and eventually destroy the CV axle from lack of lubrication, that rubbing could be an indication that the boot is misformed or split
