Rough idle and misses in the rain 22re

I have a 1991 toyota pickup with a 22re.When it is raining or after a night of rain the truck will start up fine and a minute or two in the idle will drop low and become rough. It seems to miss regularly. If I lightly give it gas it runs smooth but returns to rough if I let off. I have to let it run for 10-15 minutes and then rev the engine every time time I shift into first or else it very roughly and weakly takes off and no gas pedal position seems to help.

I have replaced the coil, wires, plugs, rotor, distributor, and fuel filter. The truck also doesn't like to start when it's below 10 degrees Fahrenheit but that may be unrelated.

I don't know where to go from here. Any help would be appreciated.

for both you guys the distributor has to have a large "O" ring which "That I Know" they dont come when you buy one, my solution just put silicon on the dizzy where dizzy cap sits"just make sure to wait til it dry's completly then put the dizzy cap on.Its' moisture going in the dizzy thats all nothing major. Hope this helps

Kind of presumptuous don't you think? I doubt a lot of water can get into a new distributor that is high up on the engine.

More often than not, the windshield seal has failed and rain water drips onto the ECU doing all sorts of weird things.

not water but moister. When I used to wash my truck (back before I fixed this problem) the water hitting the radiator evaporated, and moister some how always ended up getting inside the dizzy thus causing exactly what he mention, got to start from the most unexpensive thing don't you think?

Right...

Lets begin by looking at a part that is brand new and go from there. What was I thinking.

The distributor cap bit seems like an easy thing to try. Snobdds, if it is the windshield seal do you have any recommendations on how to fix that on a low budget?

First you need to see if it is leaking by spraying water all over the windshield and surrounding area. Then see if and where it's leaking. Make sure to check around the ECU and the fuel panel by the driver side kick panel.
