didn't read the whole thread so i apologize if this is redundant. an easy method is to take a stout rag (the clip will rip any thin crappy rags) and pull it up so it goes behind the crank. it's sort of hard to describe but there's a picture of it in the haynes manual. the clip will go flying so cover it with your hand. the plastic clip that's most forward on the door (covered by the dash when the door's closed) is removed by pressing the middle of it in with a screwdriver.

if you can't get the opening handle clip to come off it's ok, don't break it trying. you can wedge the handle through the door panel if you angle it right - i've done this a few times before i got the method of popping those clips down pat.

once you've got all the bolts/screws and plastic clips out, the panel should just pop off. i had to wrench on the bottom of mine a bit but it popped off pretty easy.

Green93, The first link takes me to a pic of a Crown Victoria in both Safari and Firefox. In Explorer I get the tool link (first time I've used that in about 2 years mostly because of adware spam "H E double hockey sticks").

That's weird. I couldn't figure out what was going on. I even tried the links again before my last post and they both went where I had intended. I just tried the first link again now and I get the crown vic. WTF? Anyways....nothing is too extreme if you're really pissed off. BTW I am using firefox too.
