I know once I make me a pipe bender so I can make me a tube bumper, that's probably gonna be how I'll run around for a while lol.

Well, in california it wouldn't be a snake light...
... it'd be rainbow colored rope lighting.

why not install one of these in your tailgate?
http://www.fbirides.com/product.asp?idno=8438 it would require some welding and paint work but it would look badass.

Another option is hit a store that sells trailer lighting and get a lighted license plate bracket. Then no cutting or welding required, just one wire for the light.

I found http://www.eTrailer.com has a good selection of all sorts of trailer things. I found a nice LED plate light. Nice guys, shipped really fast.

I've had my plate on the tail gate for some time now, finally installed a light last fall. Its just a generic chrome light that I've seen sold at every auto parts store. I scuffed it up and painted it to match the rest of the truck before I installed it. The wiring was simple, as I just ran some loom through one of the tail gate drain holes, and drilled a matching hole into the bed of the truck.

Looks good as does your truck I'll check my local auto parts stores this weekend for a better light and post up if and how I changed it. One question though does your light shine backwards like talked about previously in this thread?

I just needed a temporary light so I would be somewhat legal, I live right behind the police station so I drive by cops every day. Thanks for the inputs keep them coming...thanks!

Nice! I just bought that exact same light from Kragen lol I bought two thinking one wouldn't be bright enough? Is one good enough? If you could get those night shots that would be sweet!!!! And if you could could you get one from like 50 feet away? Thanks in advance!
