Rear Pinon Seal tips, advice, or write up?
Howdy All,
I need to replace the pinon seal on my rear diff. I do have the factory repair manuals, but does anybody have any experience with this job and can offer the quickest most painless way to do it? Its my understanding you have to pull the whole 3rd member. But if its just the outer seal, can that be accomplished w/o removing the 3rd member? I have not consulted the FSM yet, but I have a feeling it doesn't specifically address this task alone, but includes it in a total axle/diff rebuild procedure.
Any tips, experience, photos, part numbers, and advise will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Nathan
