About 2 1/2 quarts or so, and I run Royal purple synthetic.

Just fill it until it starts coming out the fill hole.

Yep, 2.5 qts or so. Be sure to fill it, put the fill plug back on, spin the driveshaft a few times in each direction and top it off.

I run Redline Heavy Shockproof.

I just did mine yesterday. I put in around 2.5 quarts of red line 75w90.

Are you using that super thick Royal Purple? 80w140 or something like that is what I saw at NAPA yesterday. I thought that was way too thick. Right now I'm using Mobil1 75w90

Got this stuff at NAPA for $10 a quart and put it in there 2 days ago.
