rear axle Q

how hard is it to change the rear axle housing in a 94 V6 pickup and what are the steps ?????????? thankx for the any of your help

You mean the third member that goes into the housing? Changing that is easy if you have another one to put in. JUst undue the 4 bolts on the back of eash wheel that hold the axels in, pull the axels out a bit, take the drive shaft off, undue all the bolts around the third member and pull it out. DO reverse order to install new one. Gotta love TOYS!!

depends on what you are really changing? The axle housing, or the diff/third member?

axle

I am changing the axle housing not the diff.I know the diff is easy but what do I have to do to change the housing.Take diff out pull axles out what else is in the housing?????????
