Guys 90/94 3vze starts but wont stay running without a good amount of gas being used. I traced the vacuum but not ruling it out 100% it acts like it is starved for fuel. HEEEEEELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

egr wont cause this.

did you mess with the ecu, you have too many posts to follow what you have done. If you messed with the ecu or main engine harness, im positive this is where your problem is. also, which ecu are you using? and how did the 94 run before you started the swap.

Sorry bout the multiple posts I am kinda computer challenged. I have used the 94 ecu. It ran awesome prior to the body swap. So vacuum wont cause the truck to run this way??????

vacuum could cause it to run that way.

But there are a few things you have to check:
-Vacuum lines
-O2 Sensor
-Timing
-Valve lash
-fuel pressure

Also, CEL codes if you have any would help diagnose the problem a lot faster.

I had this happen once after a rebuild.... Did you plug in the Air flow meter? It sounds dumb but I forgot it once.

running rich may be bad o2 sensor.
bad air filter
clogged/leaking injectors

check your plugs (at least one on each bank)
check filters (fuel/air)
look at your oil...can you smell fuel in your oil ??

Negative on the pinched fuel lines, but that could sneak up on I guy eh.
Dont believe it is filter or plug related as it was running perfect just prior to the swap. I think it is one of two items
Vacuum
Crazy weird wiring job I attempted.

Any one have a physical location diagram of the single gray harness next to the ecu for both a 90 and 94 3vze

It could happen!!!!!!!

check everything you messed with during the swap, if you didnt touch vac lines it shouldnt be checked, and unless you had a huge vacuum leak it would still run, just have a high idle.

the problem is with your wiring.....start reading thru schematics to see where you messed up. 02 sensor, plugs, wires, all that bull isnt your problem, and it would have to literally be dumping gallons of fuel for it to be this rich to have a problem.

this might help some

SLOW BOOST I have to agree after messing around with vac and all I decided to unwire and try to rewire the connection. Well now it wont start at all. I have the ECU wiring diagrams for both trucks. What I need is the specific location diagrams of just this connector for both trucks any ideas...... I know that if I could see the wire colors for both years I could fix this thing.
