quick question about my truck

i got a 86 toyota pickup with a 5 spd. i would like to take out my bucket seats and put a bench seat in. does anyone know if a bench well bolt in or do i need to do some fabrication to it? and wut years will fit in? i know i can pick them up cheap i just need to know if it will be a simple switch. thanks for the help

u will probably need brackets made to fit it the buckets are different, and why in the heck would u take out ur buckets!

i think it should bolt in. the reg cabs with the bench seats are just missing the extra bolt holes for the buckets. I think as long as you're in the same model years you should be fine.


ps. you're insane. say goodbye to comfort, and hello to backpain

oh, and if you're getting rid of the buckets theres a ton of people on here who would buy em for way more than a bench'll run ya

They will bolt right in no upgrade in brackets required

Make sure you get a seat out of an actual 4x4. The 2wd benchs do not have as deep a center cut, and it can hit the shifter when not moved all the way back.

thanks for the info guys. well i live in arizona so it might be hard to do a trade. but im gettin rid of it cuz ive always had bench seats in my trucks so i wanna stick with them

My bench seat sux! I am going to try to find a way to stick my salvaged camry seats in mine!!!!
