The only thing I can add here is that I noticed a few folks mention that if you're gonna put a manual transmission in gear for parking that you should use a gear opposite to the direction of the slope you're parked on. That's wrong. Compression is compression. When your truck is off there is no set direction for the driveline to rotate. Park it in the gear with the numerically highest ratio. That's usually reverse.

No people, the E-brake doesn't save any of your wheels. Use it to save the rest of your vehicle.

Wow normally I kill threads after I post, so I thought I'd throw something funny in. You guys caught it fast. They actually got all 4. In all seriousness it's allways better to use your brake too.
