Oil pressure/Water Temp Sender Help
I bought some autometer gauges and plan on installing them . The new gauges will probably be more accurate as well compared to stock. Can anyone help me locate the water temp sender and the oil press sender? This is what i got. small, convenient and inexpensive .

oil - passenger side; look straight down from the oil filter
(SR5 sender shown here)
temp - lower intake manifold, between intake runners 2 and 3, pointing upwards
but I HIGHLY doubt the stock senders are going to work with the aftermarket gauges...

anyone know the thread size for the water temp sender? The sender that I have is 3/8 and it's just a little too big t seems. Or if anyone installed a autometer temp gauge with a sender, did you use some kind of an adapter to make it fit?

had to go that route because I didn't know the thread size either and none of the fittings I had would fit, lol, so I had it MADE to fit one

I had a buddy at work enlage and tap the hole, and then screw a fitting that came with the gauge into a used thermostat housing that I picked up off eBay

cool. thanks for the help. I want to replace the stock sending unit as well since it doesnt function well, looks really old and I'm going to be draining the coolant anyways. I looked on the Autozone site and I'm a little confused. They have 2 products listed. One is a coolant temp sensor and the other is temp switch. The stock sending unit looks like the temp switch. Where does the coolant temp sensor go? Isn't there only one temp sensor for the 2.4l's?
Temp Switch:

Oil Pressure
Ok people, need help Please. I purchased a new OEm oil sending unit for my 3VZE but it will not register on my factory gage. I have tried 2 different gage clusters and get same from both. Max out on startup then die to zero reading.
Any ideas?
Thanks
