oil cooler

I have a 94 4runner that spun a bearing. I have located what appears to be an oil cooler on right hand side of block . Can this part be cleaned or does it have to be replaced. I am afraid metal shavings might have gotten into this part. Can anyone help?

which engine is this? you should be able to flush it out with oil if you're concerned.

yes you can clean it out. It would work best if you had a solvent tank but if you don't then you can run carb cleaner or smething of the sort through both ends. Run alot through and blow it out well with air
