So, if this is the case, then how do I fix this, and does the torque convertor just use the trans fluid? All my cars to this point have been manual, which I have successfully relaced, but I have never worked on an auto. Thanks.

You fix it by gearing properly for your tire size - that has been my point all along.

Yes, the fluid in the torque converter is the tranny fluid. (the torque converter is actually the pump that pressurizes and circulates the fluid)

Why would a 4:88 with 31's not be locked up at 70?

It's the stock set-up from the factory. Would they really have provided an option that would not allow for TC lock-up?

Anyways, I can't regear my diff., so I would have to buy a whole new third and I don't have the cash for that right now.
