i agree that it would be helpful if u posted all teh info on ur engine and such, but i also agree with the 2.25". the whole point of the vehicle is to move, and the 2.25 makes it move, so id go with it. *bigok*

22re 5speed
after my last thread https://www.yotatech.com/forums/show...=power+loss+91
and trying everything else i could think of i figure i must be the cat, and after kicking the cat repeatedly it worked much better. so ya i think my cat is rusty and intermittently blocking my exhaust

kicking stuff. that always works. between that, duct tape, and windex, what more do u need? absolutely nothing. except maybe a PB&J. and a pepsi. yea.

personally i would get a header and new everything. the the local muffler shop they told me it was $160 for the peice of pipe after the manifold on my 22re. i could get a header for $140!

yea. i guess the hammer is a good idea. that and a blowtorch. im gonna go to offtopic and make a list of required tools.

on topic, the header wont do too too much for the truck, and all the pipes, as long as they arent way outside the driven path, wont either. yes, having everything perfect will make a slight difference, but dont expect to throw down on some corvette or anything. lol.

but on topic 2.25 is the way to go, but if your going to get a header get a good one or dont bother, the cheap ones just cause more problems

I went with downey headers and downey 2.5 inch catback system also and i love it!, you can feel the power gain for sure and it sounds beastly.

LC engineering. Stainless steel and ceramic coated for $358.00. Get a high flow cat, and 18" Magnaflo or Flowmaster super40 with 2.25" piping out the back. In my most humbling opinion the LC engineering is the best bang for the buck.

lol. i actually posted something in the off topic thread, dumbest things uv ever heard about cars that had something in common. i said it wasnt so much as what someone said, it was the fact that they reved their geo prism while sitting next to me. almost started in 2nd gear, but decided i didnt need to boost his confidence any.
