my crappy paintjob

well the thread name says it all. i decided to finally rattle can my truck flat black this past saturday. i roughed it up all over with 800 grit. i primered all most all of it with 2 cans of rustoleum. the ones with 33% more. i bought 5 cnas of the 99 cent flat black. i taped everything up real good and got to work. as i was painting i noticed the flat black was going reeeaaallly quick. to make a long story short, its kinda of tiger stripped, and i ran outta paint. i had to go in to work at 4 on saturday to make things worst, so when ever i get a day off that the winds not blowing like a tornado like it has been the past two weeks im gonna redo the whole thing with krylon flat balck. take a look at the haggardness. trustyrusty atleast i tried

looks good, get another couple cans and finish it up. you shouldn't have to resand the black just get it clean and it will stick.

don't look too bad, man. i painted my truck a couple weeks ago. it took 8 1/2 cans.

deffinatly get krylon, they make the best spray paint. some have the adjustable 360 degree nozzle. works great!

EDIT: the hood is a pain in the *@&*&. you might want to take the it off and set it up vertically, i didn't do this and it shows.

keep painting it looks good. I do recommend taking the hood off it makes it so much easier to paint.

It far from being new. It's 14 years old..... I am thinking about painting my primer 90 because the clear coat is coming off in places. And the paint is starting to chip in places.

if 95 is old, then you're spoiled

my Toy's 18 years old, and I consider it to be in it's prime

well thanks guys but i dont think it looks all that great. i was gonna leave it primer gray but it was really hard to not strirpe it bad. trust me i tried. i guess its where my old paint was black. with bout 3 or 4 coats it might look okay. wow how did i know that someone was gonna say somethin about a cow. hahah. i was thinkin of leavin it and doin somethin crazy like dual cases arb's blah blah blah so the guys with there cute jeeps lifted 9 inches and huge tires would be like look at that POS toyota, right before i crawled over them. im hopefully gonna finish it next week if frickin wal mart will give me a day off. cuz i dont think the ole lady will like the looks of pullin up to prom in a dairy cow. but its gna be covered in mud so it dont matter

I considered desert tan but I thought that could prove to be a bad idea if I ever get stuck in the desert...
I still think it would be cool though
