Its happening here in Lancaster Ca. A friend and I were taking about this today he has a muffler shop as junk cats prices go up so do missing cats. One junk cat he had was a $1000.cat for junk and $5000. all for about 3 weeks of replacements that his junk cat buyer paid him. Good money in junk

The catclamp cages the cat in aircraft quality cable that loops around the frame. Even if the muffler pipe gets sawed through, the cat is still connected to the truck. The cable is very difficult to saw through with a sawzall. A thief would probably see this mess of wires and go to the next vehicle (yours!).
