Funny thing is..I did body work for 3 years lol...I could actually mold it in and all that. It just doesnt seem worth it to me. I dunno...Its a wheelin truck. I walk on the hood to get to the front tow hooks when im dep in water. Just dont know how the fiberglass/bondo would hold up. If it was a street truck, ide do it all clean and pretty like.

I've used fiberglass bondo to patch 4runner quarter panels and it help up great compared to the normal stuff. It doesn't get all crumbly like normal bondo, holds up to flex/temps better, and is resilliant to water. If it is a trail rig and I didn't give a crap how it looked I'd just rivet it. You could use sand paper so round the edges of the cowl induction piece so they were nice and round with a finished look. I would also use some body epoxy between the piece and the actual hood to limit vibration and to keep the thing from warping between the rivets.
