Manual Transmission Rebuild Kit!?!?!?!?!

Manual Transmission Rebuild Kit!?!?!?!?!
I have a 1987 4runner 22re 5-speed. It is a daily driver and the transmission has been acting up. 4th gear dose not engage at all any more, and 3rd gear is beginning to grind every time I shift into it. So I'm thinking about re-building this transmission. I also have access to a 86 pickup truck with the same drive train. My ideas are to either swap the trans out of the truck to the 4runner, but I'm not sure what shape it's trans is in, I can drop the 4runner trans and rebuild it, or drop the truck trans rebuild it and swap it with the 4 runner. Now the rebuilding part depends largely on if a rebuild kit exists out there for my transmission. If someone knows of a good one, could you tell me where, and around how much? If there isn't one out there, what all would I need to get to rebuild it and what would it cost me? Thanks for any help and sorry this thing got so long!!!

Rebuild would be the way I'd go, unless you can get a good used one cheaper.

Sounds like your pilot bearing is NG. It is a rare thing that 4th gear would go without others going first, like 5th 1st or 3rd.. I would check that first and also your oil level. No oil and your synchros will not work very well.
