This is the gas tank-I wanted it this way and sacrificed the spare tire,but I have more room in the back



This is the control switch-you can cycle petrol-LPG,and it has fuel level indicator built in-five LED-s.




I'm very happy with this set-up- it is two times cheaper than running on petrol alone,and you can double your oil change intervals-because LPG is much cleaner burning fuel. Only downside is that you have to clean fuel injectors once a year.
Oh yes- I forgot to take a picture - the filling port is in the rear bumper - really discrete. (I'll take a pic).
I have older system built in-it is not direct injection-but if properly done it functions flawless,there is no significant power loss-you can only feel it under full load on incline,but it is really not worth to mention!

What does the conversion cost?
Is it a gas / LPG type deal - some newer conversions use both liquid fuel and LPG.

LPG is down on BTU and up on ocatane. What's the mileage with LPG?

Yes- I can use both petrol and LPG-you just flip the switch.The conversion costs about1500$,some newer systems would cost 2000$-but this older is more suitable for 22RE because there is not enough place to put LPG injectors. The mileage with LPG is slightly worse-but you run two times cheaper(1L of petrol-1,6$ and 1L of LPG- 0,67$ )

MORE DETAILS, PLEASE!!!!!!! Is there a website you got this conversion off of? Would the addition of a fuel filter(LPG) help keep the injectors from getting dirty for a little longer? I am VERY interested in this conversion....

Italian manufacturers are leaders in LPG technology leading brands are BRC,LOVATO... Croatian websites wouldn't help you much so here is the link to BRC sitehttp://www.brc.it/Default.aspx?&lang=en

The injectors get clogged because they are closed while engine is running on LPG-the fuel sits in them,and there is hot combustion going on underneath them. But once a year cleaning resolves those problems,also running on petrol from time to time will prolong those intervals.

I'll try to describe operation with the system: When control switch is on the right position-the LPG mode is selected,but engine starts always on petrol-when you rev the engine to 2500rpm engine switches to LPG. When control is on the left position petrol mode is selected and engine starts and runs on petrol.

I must add that when injectors get clogged there is no problem with LPG-the engine runs normal but there is problem with starting and running on petrol.

It is of great importance that your electrical system is in good shape prior to installation of LPG (cables,spark plugs,distributor...).

I'll take some detailed pics and try to explain what some things do.

I ran dual fuel for 25 years in my two previous trucks, it was awesome. One issue was that I burnt up my first set of heads on my 350, I ran stellite valves and seats in my next engine and it world flawlessly. I also ran a dual curve ignition that advanced/retarded the timing when I switched fuel which made a huge difference. Great conversion smiljko!
