hey guys i just traded my 93 celica for a 93 4runner 3.ol.. got a couple ??s. i own a 89 4x4 3.0 but some things r different.. but ne way it has this problem some times when its start it will run like crap.. tunr the key off and restart it and usually it will run fine but the check lite comes on.. i'm pretty good with workin on the 3.0 but this has me a little confused.. and another thing is the 4wd light blinks like crazy when goin around 40 or above.. im ganna check the linkage tonight but could it be n-e thing else???

Do you mean that when you are driving in 2wd above 40 that the 4wd light is blinking? Or are you in 4wd driving above 40 and it is blinking?

Either way you are probably on the right track to check the transfer case switch and linkage first to see if it is the source.
