Just blocked off my EGR....

Yes, especially during the summer time. I bypassed mine because my idle was choppy and I did everything under the sun to fix it. I really need to get a new EGR valve and be done with it but since I only put less than 1000 miles a year on it these days, I probably won't bother until it's time to get it smogged again.

If you have an issue it will be with the EGR temp sensor if yours has one. You can install a resistor to replace it though. If you don't your computer will fuss at ya till ya do and probably screw up any performance gains you'd be getting too.QUOTE]
any picks of said resistor installed??

Ask LS1Steve, maybe he does.
I imagine it's pretty straight-forward. Remove EGR Temp Sensor, put resistor between the 2 wires. Done.

am i correct that since i didnt remove my egr just blocked it off at the intake manifold that it shouldnt throw an egr temp code? or is it going to over heat and throw the code?

It only throws the code if you remove the sensor.
My sensor is going bad and gives me the code for it, but I just haven't gotten around to unhooking it yet and installing a resistor in its place.
If it's still there it's still working.

Looks like it'd be somewhere after the valve on the pipe that feeds into the plenum chamber. Probably got a little 2-prong connector plugged onto it. That wire(s) goes to the ECU.

Well, I just got done making the "gasket" and putting it on. Ran all around town today and I have to say, I didn't believe it but it did actually make my rig run better, better driving and darn if it didn't give me a little more pep? I don't know how or why but it makes my rig seem like it is responding to the petal better.
thanks guy

You got the V6 so between this thread, and this one here with more pics, you should be able to figure out the gist of it.

It's not gonna help anything with it unplugged. Unless the cold start time switch is shorted/malfunctioning and causing it to spray when it shouldn't.

i unplugged the cold start injector wire this morning and started the motor not having any problems. since i have a fresh tank of gas, i'll see if there's any MPG chances in the next few days.

Just wanted to add that I disconnected my EGr last week and put the 10k ohm resistor in. Wow does my truck ever run smooth now. My gas mileage went WAY up too. So far I don't see too much reason to reconnect it.
