Interesting motor swap

http://www.twosnailsracing.com/Lana/tigeruppercut.html

ok so not so interesting but i came across this page by accident and couldnt help but post it here.

swap a 22rtec into a 4runner? And swap the 2wd transmission and get rid of the front differential AND axles?

... all because.... why? ...

even got a custom driveshaft lol

.... or they could of just swapped oil pans and kept 4wd and just bolted the motor to the 4wd drivetrain... sigh.

lol they wanted to save 13$ on a oil pan gasket and in all reality you do not use a gasket you use a rtv sealant

Can the output on the 2wd tranny be changed so that the transfer case can be reinstalled? Seems like a waste to turn a 4wd into a 2wd. Or how about the internal parts being used in the broken tranny?

A guy I wheeled with last weekend had an 86 turbo IFS truck. Man he drives the piss out of that poor thing to get over obstacles but it does.

wow that is some ghetto fab if I ever saw it.

What the hell are people thinking?

1. Thats not the block or the head that cracked, thats the timing cover. A removable and fixable piece.

2. Nice "skid plate" hope that mall runner never leaves the pavement

3. 2WD? WTF. It was more work to remove the axles, diff, and drivelines, than to just change the oil pan. And now his front spindles are exposed to the weather. Smooth move exlax.

4. Nice crossmember "fab" with the spacers etc. That thing is going to rip itself apart in the long run, hate to be the poor bastard driving it when it does.

^^^x2 on everything, I just about yelled at computer when they put that crap on the timing cover, claiming it's the "block"

What I am wondering is how hard did they have to pry on that head to crack that thing that much

That skid plate is fricken awesome! Need to get me one of those

he's alos got a whole page dedicated to how he put a sticker on his new tailgate
