This is an internet discussion forum.

I had a question.

It got answered.

That's what the forum is here for.

What's your problem?

no need to take off the hood and you can get a pack of the clamps in the help section at auto zone and ˟˟˟˟˟˟ taking the plenm off thats more money you gotta spend get the pilers , the hose from the dealer , and new clamps $20 , 30 bucks at the most and for that other guys question if you blow that hose too and you say your heater dont work it means you need to get more coolant in your system i had that problem too because that bypass hose you guys are replacing send the coolent back and fourth to motor and heater anything else pm me

Hmmm, DCS had 5 posts to this thread and only 1 post remotely offered any advice. Wasted bandwidth.

Well gee whiz,

I posted some advice on some other threads.

I didn't post any here because I was seeking advice on this particular topic, not offering it.

I'm sorry if my more mindless posts wasted a little bandwidth. As i recall, there was a huge global surplus of bandwidth on the 2nd anyway, because so many people were afraid to use the internet on April fools. In fact, badwidth prices spiked sharply down on the 3rd and 4th because of this unexpected glut. Check it out. It's true.

Hey guys, Im new to this and to 4runners. I am about to buy a 90 runner and the owner says that the only thing wrong is that the coolant bypass hose needs replaced. Is this the same hose you guys are talking about. and if so how long with the pliers would it take to change assuming i know exactly where it is?

No they didnt specify, are they all in the same general area because if so I could easily figure out which one is leaking...From what I have researched they are at the back of the engine on the top/middle passenger side. is this correct?

There are two that go on the throttle body and one that comes off the water pump. There may be another set or more but those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.
