looks pretty good!
i'd do more coats since you still have some leftover and before you get it dirty - it will look a lot better because of tighter raised particles, and should help deaden more of the road noise. remember, it's no dynamat. i did 2 THICK coats of herculiner on the whole interior of my old k5 blazer and it turned out pretty good and i was very happy with the results though i wish i had done more coats at the time. most of the smell will go away after a few days/weeks. i got my herculiner 1gal kit at kragen for $80 on sale; i think it also comes in quarts, but better deal in gallon of course. much better price tag than rhinoliner and is readily available and a good DIY project.
btw, hope you learned to use a throw-away long sleeved shirt and not just gloves....i sported a couple spots of herculiner on my forearms for about a month before it finally came off.
i'd paint the shift plate so it matches the color of the shift boots and dash. that or get bucket seats and build yourself a center console around it so you don't see it at all. also, might want to make sure your ECU is waterproofed to go with the herculiner.

yea i wore a tshirt and gloves. i still got herculiner on my foremarm lol. im thinkin about doing my whole body in herculiner haha. i dont believe im gonna put anymore coats on it cuz were usin the rest to do my dads bed on his ford

I have been tossing around the idea of doing this on my Runner then my truck...Others here have suggested it to help rid the old, wet, dead, moldy dog smell. Have it gone for now but my return if it gets wet again.

I have started the process if doing this to my Runner. gutted the interior and started the prep work. I have a few small rust isuues to deal with first then im goin nuts with it. I boought the Dupli-color kit. Came with 1 gallon of coating and the related stuff for applilcation. Then i bought an extra quart and a spray can of it for the hard to get to areas..lol. Im doing my entire froll from firewall to tail gate so i wasnt sure how much i needed so i figured you probally couldnt have "too" much of it on there. I'll post some pics when I get goin on it again.

did mine about 2 years ago. it hasn't worn at all. the only thing i did different was i shot mine with a shutz gun for under coating, it worked slick

For real though, you wanna run a good respirator or forced-air mask when messing with that stuff, it has a lot of benzene-based chemicals that are pretty gnar-gnar for people.

Has anyone had any experience with this kind of thing and cold-wet weather? I always got huge chunks of ice under my clutch and gas pedals in the winter and was thinking on my next yota that some kind of bed liner like this would help prevent that.

well the smell on from my interior about4 months ago still stinks horrible. that is with the windows open every day. if you do do this make sure you have good heat shields on the exhaust under the floorboard or after driving awhile the floorboard will heat up above the exhaust and it will start to smell.

Is herculiner thick? I'm thinking of redoing the interior after I lay down some sound deadening material, but I know the material will leave seems and ripples and I want the liner to fill in the seems and cracks.

why yes it is a big can of snuff lol. and its dirt cheap. i highly recomend it haha. i cant smell the smell anymore now. and its just been 6 days. im tellin you teh road noice aint bad at all. really th eonly diffenernce you can tell is when you change gears you cna hear it pretty good. after the first day you wont even notice. i like to hear whats goin on around me
and duperman- its perdy thick stuff depending on how many coats u do. i jsut did two and its nice and thick. it should fill in the cracks and ripples good

I got the kit from Advanced Auto for about $70.00 I was able to do 2 coats with the kit. I think it had a gallon of goop.
I used the brush to put it on then the roller to add the texture and even it out. It took a few hours and let it sit for about a half hour between coats (it was quite warm, dried quick).
