help my windows and lock don't work.

I sold my 1990 4runner a few weeks ago for $2500. well last week i bought a 2000 tacoma 3.5 auto TRD, i love the locker, 4x4 extended cab 50000 miles for $4000. The bad, is that it's a a flood vehical. The good, it runs like nothing ever happened to it. I changed all of the fluids, front and rear axles the engine oil the transfer case the starter the alternator and battery. I changed the AT fluid, and i drove it up the street and had it flushed. i put about 400 miles and everything is good. Now the power winds and locks don't work. where is the window relay regulator or what ever it's call located. the CL light has never come on, and the CL light does work can i checked it with the key on the ON postion all of the lights work. does anyone have the manual that i can down load? anyhelp with the windows will help.

You'll have to check every connection in the door, and pay special attention to the pass through (where the wires are around the hinges) for wire breakage. Check componets too. I'd bet you have a corrosion issue, or a failed door module.

Good price, but you might pay for it in the end. I've seen more than one flooded vehicle and the main problem with them are electrical failures. There is a reason insurance companies write them off. Basically, salt water gets into everything (computers, wires, etc) and causes corrosion. Any place corrosion causes problems can be a future problem with flooded vehicles. Weatherpak seals have helped a bunch, but nothing is perfect. Regardless, I wish you well, and I really hope you've got a vehicle in the 2% that doesn't have problems.

What am I chopped liver? In case you haven't noticed your post is in the wrong forum.

Like I said, you probably have a failed door module. I'm not entirely sure, not being familiar with your particular truck but most manufacturers moved the logic control out of the BCM (body control module) and into the DDM (driver door module). I doubt you'd find any hard wired stuff like you would in the old days.

I'd suggest you try what wrenchmonster told you, because that's some pretty good info right there. Grab some electrical diagram things for your truck and then start hunting down your current and possiblity future problem(s).
