Gurgling sound from AFM
On my 1994 3.0 4Runner, I did the Airbox mod (drilling holes, etc...). I did this about 3 months ago and recently I have been hearing a gurgling sound from the AFM; it almost sounds like there is water in there or something. I took the airbox lid off and removed the AFM. It looks clean and the door seems to open and close normally. Any ideas??

You might be hearing the AS valve resonating into the Airbox, The 1" hose that come from the front of the engine down past the fan into a resonatorbox then it continues around the top front of the airbox.
If you pull that hose off while the engine is running you can hear it really good, If its blowing out of it then the AS valve is bad, If it just sucks durring decel of the throttle its good.
Whats it for?, The AS valve is like a cyphon relife valve for the exhaust, It opens during decelleration allowing air/oxygen into the exhauset system to help keep flow volocity up and oxy to help burn unspent fuel at the cat.
