getting 33" to work correctly with my 2nd gen runner
I've got a '93 runner with some 33 12.5 on it. they almost clear. almost is fine for city driving and light wheeling but not what i really want. my old tires were 32 11.5 and they fit perfectly. all i have on the car that isn't stock is the leveling kit coils in the rear that i pulled from a junk yard for $10.
my biggest thing is that if i start doing a suspension lift i want to do it right. i don't want my car to drive like crap or to be significantly more prone to breakage.
I have read the FAQ's regarding lifts, and have done a bunch of reading so i've got some ideas...but could really use a little guidance!!!
also, there is a guy who is selling the front half of a trailmaster 3" lift for the IFS he says it is complete and is asking $300. is this a good lift? if installed correctly will my car still drive well? if i get and install this what should i put on the rear?

Yes, they make chains for 33x10.50

As for doing the right lift do the SAS not IFS lift if its too much for you then save cause youll wish you did! I like how you only want a smaller 3" lift however cause anything bigger isnt really neccecary!

I would probibly just throw a body lift on there. It will clear your meats but will NOT change hardly any of the driving chararistics (did I spell that right?). Since it it only lifting the body off the frame, you are only increasing your COG but a minute amount, all suspension stays stock (best when its stock).
So... IMO, body lift it!

Agreed. 2" body lift, slight trim of the valence in the front. Also provides room for transmission work, allows you to lift the tank up too, should you want extra clearance without the high COG.
