garvin wilderness roof rack install..

i got this roof rack in a trade, and i have a few ideas on how to mount it, but i would like to see how other peeps have installed there roof racks..
if you got some pics post them up, i would like to see what you did..
its going on a 90 runner.

lol sorry i had to break it down to fit it in the runner... its a bunch of parts right now. i will have some pics up tomorrow...

here you go i got it installed, since nobody had any install pics..
anyway its solid, and i sealed my bolt holes with rtv to keep the h20 out.

it does sit kinda tall, but i didn't have any other way to mount it.
maybe down the road a little ways i will modify it to sit lower.

I like those style of racks. If I ever get around to building one, that's how I'd build it. Only it'd have a bottom of expanded metal. Yours doesn't look like it really has a bottom?

Sitting high like that can be an advantage. Keeps anything loaded in or on the rack from contacting the roof of the vehicle.

it has cross bars there just not bolted on yet. i left them off to mount it so they wouldn't get in the way.
