This reminds me of the issues I had trying to find a replacement when my drive shaft was stolen. Was hard to source through wreckers because everyone says they have them to get you down there and then and then when you get there, well you know how that goes... and even on the remote chance they actually HAD a rig it was bent because they were moving the truck around the yard with a forklift. Searched for about a year and couldn't find one. Finally I was able to pick up another complete parts truck for $400. Kind of a Pain but what do you do...

Start looking at buying a complete unit that needs work. Might be able to get it cheap and part the rest out.

Good luck

well we found a guy had three of them in his back yard wouldn't let us buy the driveshafts off them, it's been a real pain in my butt, I have people looking in Louisiana, North Carolina, Florida, Indiana and have not found one yet. its frustrating.

It might sound crazy but your best be is to take the old shaft to a drive shaft shop and have them build you a new shaft using the old one as a template. I had this done for my 2wd pickup (which I later learned that 2ed shafts are not hard to come by....lol) Cost me about 350$ total for a completely new shaft with new u-joints installed.
