Doetsch Tech 8069 Vs Monroe whatevers

Here is a picture of the 8069's I just installed. They have an interesting feature that may or may not be good on the trail. They have this large rubber bushing that appears to act as a secondary bumpstop. When I hit dips I don't have the feeling of hitting those hard low pro stops when the suspension bottoms but I don't know if this feature will hurt trail flex enough to make me want to cut the rubber bushings off. So, the jury is still out on how they impact trail wheeling. My LCA's still make contact with their bumpstops but the transition is more smooth than before.

They as one would expect ride nicely although they are fairly stiff when compared to the Monroes. That, however, is expected. They settle the truck immediately after encountering a dip or similar. I expect they will be far more resistant to fade than the Monroes which fade rather quickly.

As one can see, their extended length is about that of the Monroe with the shim so they fit just right.

Hopefully soon I can flex out the suspension and see how these shocks impact flex. That they are not nitrogen charged should help the flex a bit as long as that rubber bushing is hurting compression travel in slow speed situations.

Did you install DT's front and rear? I am considering 8000's up front and 3000's in the rear.

Those are front shocks, as they have a stem/eye. Rears only have eyes..
