Difference between SR5 and EFI 4runner

I'm looking at purchasing a 4runner. One has come up but it is the EFI model. Whats the difference between the EFI and SR5?

Well...that's a new one.

I'll clue you in. There's no such thing as an EFI model.

So there you have it.

Sidenote: EFI stands for Electronic Fuel Injection. SR5 is a trim package(a.k.a Grade). Trim packages for 86-95 trucks and 4Runners include SR5(a.k.a GLX), SRT(SR5 with turbo), DLX(Deluxe), and STD(Standard).

EFI just means its fuel injected. SR5 is a trim package to include various things.

Sorry that's what the ad said so if its not an sr5 and its a bas3 model what am i missing out on?

I can see it has manual windows and no climbometer.

With regards to the engine it has done 280,00 miles, receipts for a rebuild at 150,000 miles, and transmission at 180,000, are these vehicles generally bulletproof?

Also are parts still available?

I have an 88 MR2 Supercharger and its hard enough to get parts for that?

U do realize at least 70% of the guys on this site have 89 or older truck right? I myself have an 86 and I can find part just about anywhere. Plus the aftermarket backing is great on these trucks. Go through some searches on here and google some stuff. If you really run into an issue PM me and I will help you find the parts your looking for or at least point you in a good direction
