Traced all the wires as best as I could...nothing looks melted or burned up...

What am I doing wrong fellas?

-----With engine running, trans in N, put 4WD in 4H, no relay click.
-----With engne on, there is vacuum at the ADD, drivers side, no matter if switched to 2H or 4H/L.

I wanted to close the loop on this old thread, and so it may also help some folks in the future.

There is that connector sitting on top of the trans that was old, frayed and one of the pins was messed up. Shook that connector and 'click' 'click' 'click', just as you guys said. Repaired that connector and now good to go! Maybe somewhere down the line when a clutch was done (or something) this connector got jacked.

Thanks RJR, scope103 and nv4runner.

Thanks for the report. Do you know which connector it was?
