should be a coolant temp sender, as in sending unit

a sensor tells the ecu whats going on, a sender sends a reading to a gauge

Niether of those sensors........what atistag said. The sending is on the same cluster at the back of the lower intake manifold near the firewall, though. That is if you don't know where they are.

Search this forum for "sensor id" or "identify this sensor" or "sensor identification". You can use Mt. Goat or thook.....off the top of my head....as "post by user" input to add. In one or two threads floating around here, this topic has been clarified to include pics on part locations and functions. This should help. If you have trouble finding it, post back and I'll find the info for sure.
