Can anyone identify this part (V6)?

It is to the left of all the VSVs. It has a hose that is looped to itself.

Okay, anyone know where it normally plugs into? The hose literally loops around to itself.

On my '92 4rnr, it's for the A/C. I'm sure it is for you truck, as well.

You have the idle up valve and the vacuum switching valve. As far as I know, it's not hooked up the A/C at all, but should route somehow to the intake plenum....as far as the vac lines go. I'd go reference my vehicle right quick, but the wifey-pooh just took off in it to town. It'll be several hours before she gets back. Hopefully some other YT bumb around here will help you out.

Come on dudes! It'd take ya five minutes!!

Wait...wait. I looked at the pic and thought about it. What you have circled I'm pretty darn sure is routed correctly. The longest line running from the valve goes to the plenum.

I know the vacuum lines are attached correctly, I never pulled them off. What's getting me are the 2 larger hoses (going behind the evap canister) that are puzzling me. The 2 hoses connect to each other with a short piece of vacuum tubing. It was that way when I got the truck. I have a bookmark of someone else's engine swap with plenty of pics, but they don't have one (they don't have A/C).

Okay, I found the routing of the hoses. According to this diagram, one of those hoses is supposed to go to the air intake, and the other is supposed to go into the plenum. Mine are connected together in a closed loop.

Somebody show me where they are really supposed to go.

HAHAHA.... ok, not here to guys..... But really???? what is the deal with people and vacuum lines??? Why does everyone insist on routing everything all screwed up, i literally, think people just plug in hoses where ever they see fit until it runs something like normal, and there like yeah, ok. ????

I'm not at the routing part, and I'm sure I'll get it right the first time. Some people have trouble with hoses, just like people have trouble with wiring. Have you seen how many vacuum lines are on the 3.0? I've never run across so many vacuum operated controls in my life.

Forget the initial query. I found out I was looking at the wrong set of hoses. But, I do have a pair of hoses that loop, with a vacuum pipe at the one end. Anyone know where this goes? I can take a pic if needed, but they are similar to the ones used on the idle up valve, maybe slightly longer.

vac lines my god just cap them all off you dont need them!!!!!!!! even the fuel lines you dont need them too for that mater the 3.0's run on love so drain that paper weight called a gas tank and send me what ever you find inside of it ill pay shipping lol

no really though vac lines are funny they go from here to ther back over here then splits over to there and before you know it you go one big rubber rollercoster under your hood as for the loop toyota used the same parts for the high end model as for the chepostake model i guess you just dont have what that goes to so id say dont worry about it

Right....just as I was feeling a tad guilty for falling asleep, too. <<(and, no comments from the peanut gallery....please)

Yeah, get some pics. The 4rnr's home and I can help route whatever you need today.

Okay, here are some pics of it. I'm sure when I'm done getting things together it may become evident where it goes. I'd like to know ahead of time though, if possible.

I think you're on to something. Underneath the power steering fluid reservoir, on the left and below, is that where the hoses go? If so, I've got a busted air valve.

Can anyone take a pic of that location for me?

Edit: I found a pic, and I do have a broken air valve. The plastic ports are knocked right off.

Hey.....take a pic of your broken valve. And, get a part number. I might have one, if you'd like.
