Burning Coolant HELP!
Am I missing something?
OK! I found a leak in the timing chain cover and replaced that, put it all together and still got white smoke. I replaced the head gasket and still got white smoke. I just replaced the head and still I get white smoke but only after it warms up and I rev the engine. I suspect the cheesy no brand head gasket that came with the new head, but thought I'd ask if I am maybe missing another possible problem that someone else might no about!
Everyone says the possibility of a cracked block is very small!
Other than that, it sounds and runs great!

The cold idle-up valve (called the "auxiliary air valve" or AAV in the fsm) in the throttle body is a thermostat-like valve that is controlled by coolant - if the o-rings are shot it can leak coolant directly into the throttle body.

(There apparently are o-rings in the plunger part of the valve that are accessed from a cover plate on the left of this photo of the 22RE t-body. Thanks to hilandfrog for this photo)
Or, I suppose it could be that "cheesy no-brand head gasket."

No coolant or residue in airbox. I did clean the intake out.
I'll check those O-rings in the AAV (didn't know about those).
I think maybe my block is out of tolerance. .006 in center.
