I just got done refitting my 89 runner with 90 runner calipers.U only have 2 trim about 1/4" off the dust shield ,but if the pads come with wear indicators they will hit the hub so I trimmed that part. The 90 calipers have 4 equal size pistons ,my 89 had 2 small 2big.the 90 pad is 10-20 percent more surface area.I found this out by mistake, but it's a simple upgrade.I can throw passengers into the windshield if they don't want to buckle up.It's like death cougar said stock parts, but some improvement on a budget.

Ok so ive read this thread a few times and i still have a few questions. I have a 95 2wd p/u that im building some custom 4wd spindles for. FYI, I will not be using 4wd, i want the stronger snout w/6 lugs. i am not sure what hub/rotor/caliper combo to use. Ive been looking into the 4runner 4x4 calipers and rotors, but im not sure what years are best. And what about the hubs? Are certain years better? Lastly, do i need to upgrade my master cylinder?
