Body Lift

Okay so I am gonna get some 33x12.5 and need where to find a 3" body lift since that seems to be what you need in order to fit that size tire.

For a 3" body lift you need 4crawler.com

A simple search would have revealed the answer.

Well I was having trouble finding that.. sorry. Anyways if I wanted to stay away from a lift and just go with some 31x12.5 and get the rear level again would that size tire work okay?

Hey dude I tried all that stuff to get around lifting my 4-runner, leveling it, spacers (the cheap way), and in the end I still lifted it 3 inches and my only regret is not doing it sooner. My 4-runner looks sick and I get compliments all the time. I run 33X12.5's and there is no substitute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you want to even make it better go with Nitto Terra Grapplers and you won't regret it.

It's not the 33 that makes it not fit, it's the 12.50 that doesn't fit. A 33x10.50 will be much easier to fit. But only a few tires are made in that size is the problem.

I don't like body lifts at all, I think they look tacky and cheap, especially if they end up having a huge gap between the body and frame. Plus, it makes your shifters lower.

You can run a 31 x 10.50 stock.

False.

There is only a few inches of frame showing on mine, perfect when I finally get around to welding on my sliders.

Also, most kits (mine did) come with peices of steel that you weld into your shifters, raising them back to stock level. Some people can't even tell I had the body lift done.

If you search on body lifts you'll find lots of trucks here running them. You don't *need* necessarily a 3". There are a zillion threads on this though so I'd suggest searching.

Toyota's frames are well tucked under the body so a body lift doesn't look as ostentatious on our trucks as the do on others that have exposed frames stock.

I find that as long as you put a slider or nerf on the truck the frame is barely noticeable... Here's my truck with a 3" body lift on it and if you say this bothers you, you have issues.

In my opinion, this is the ONLY legitimate reason to not go with a body lift. Personal liking/preference. If you don't like something, it makes no sense to put it on your truck.

Body lifts are no worse then bracket lifts.

I wouldn't do either, they are not to my liking.
