That is one nice Toyota. What is the engine code for your Surf?
Did they ever make a LHD diesel? Since the MC is on the left side, anyone how hard would it be to swap into a US truck/runner?
With the cost of the 3.4 swap I wonder if/when that time comes if searching out a diesel is an option.

this is a 2lte engine.. if you upgrade the head like mine.. they are a decent engine..
yes they came in lhd ..but mine is from japan..
you can buy these engines from importers as well at the 2.8 l diesel or the 3.0
www.toyotadieselmadness.com
also i think the master cylinder is the same .. i know all the brakes are

yeah man i live like 10 minutes from the falls .. and theres a really nice parkway for driving!
yeah im moving my old 2 around the side and am gonna fix them up.. when i do that this week ill get a picture...
unfortunatly i no longer think the 1987 pickup i have half paid for i can bring home.. i was a trail rig really cheap but its sold and all there.. but i really cant have another toyota
i might still grab the top of the engine to run a propane setup on my trail rig..
also need a car dolly for the trail now
and ill say it again this truck was cleaner than 96-00 4runner i went and looked at.. thats why it was worth a litte more money.. its pretty much a brand new truck to me.. i am getting all the paint fixed and krown oil sprayed..
i drove 100 km and my needle still hasnt moved just above half lol..
gas milage is gonna be good i can already tell
finding a truck that someone took care of and really enjoyed was key..i will continue to respect this truck and keep it the cleanest one around

Went to the junkyards for you bigt, but the one good bodied surf that was a 6j7 color, had the exact to pieces you wanted damaged as well, so i will keep looking, wasnt a total waste of a trip tho, i found two rust free doors for my truck....

Also BigT, how is it driving a RHD truck on the right side of the road? I plan on bringing my truck with me to turkey and was just curious on how it will be. Thanks, Brian

i actually loke driving it more!!!
left hand turns people said would suck but i like the fact that i can see the traffic on the right and the left im high enough in the truck that i can see fine left...
everywhere i go people ask me about my truck
i ordered a oil filter from the dealership at 30 bucks apperntly its also used in a yota forklift.. and am gonna switch to amsoil..
i love the gas milage and how clean of a truck i purchased... it has the upgraded head but i still watch the temp gauge,,
even though all over the internet people tell you that this engine sucks blah blah blah.. its perfect for me.. it will tow my 4runner 20kms alot better than my tired 22re. and the daily drive is a pleasure.

Oh and if you're interested in making a turbo-timer for the yoter, let me know. I'll dig up the schematics I used to make the cheap eggtimer style turbo-timer for my dodge (it'll work for the yoter too. runs off the ignition).
