anyone recognize this part/ steering clunk

after taking apart the front end of my truck i have a left over piece along w/ a hard clunk at full lock in either direction. all steering linkage was removed as well as the drivers side front brakes i dont recall even taking this part out but its been a while. heres a pic

what EXACTLY did you take apart? (steering linkage is kind of a braud statement )

That looks like the spacer for the 2 bolts in the fender by the door at the bottom...Just a guess. At least that's where I put them.

a ha the fender was off also,thanks. any good guesses as to the harsh clunk at full lock.feels and sounds fine untill close to or at full lock in either direction. i will jack it up and check for play tommorow but any thing i should be looking at in detial.

Yeah, I got 1!!!

Is it more like a clunking, grinding, rubbing at full lock? If so it may be the stops rubbing...does this happen all the time, or only when on uneven turns at full lock?

99% of the time I have at least 1 screw, bolt, nut left over...Just how it is.

only at full lock,but it seems way harsher than it botoming out on the stops

If it is your steering stops you could put some lithium or anti-sieze on the stops landing area. The part that the adjustable bolt smacks into.

underneath ur fender, bolts in with two long bolts at the bottom
