92 3vz oil leakage question
I got an oil leak i am having trouble finding. it is coming from the pass side of engine near the rear and is also coming out of the bell housing where the slave cylinder goes in. now i have recently changed out the clutch and the rear main cuz i thought t was there but there is no sign of a bad rear seal. Could it be the valve cover gasket leakingdown into the bell housing? it is leaking but dont know if it could get into bell housing that bad. Any suggestions?

I have what sounds like a similar leak and can not identify a source for sure, but it looks as though it may be leaking from the rear of the valve covers. Mine (the leak) is somewhere up high on the engine and near the firewall, but it's hard to say where exactly. I'm going to go to the car wash and rinse the bottom/sides of the engine/tranny with hot water as soon as it warms up a little (the past few days have been cold maybe 20F). That should help to locate it. Good luck.

thanx for the replies. I have looked with the engine clean and the valve covers are leaking but can it get "into" the bell housing from the top? I do see where it is running down on the starter and rear of engine but it is also coming out of the boot that goes to the clutch slave cylinder. thats what is throwing me for a loop. it not rear main seal though.
