4.10 and 4.56. Not sure what one im going to keep. Ive got + and - right. If i sell the 4.56's i can plop the 4.10s and ya. Or i can try to find some 4.56 ifs front. either or ill be happy but i kinda want to lean towards the 4.56s so i can regear and have a elocker.
Yeah, im planning on selling one or the other.

Did you make a breather for the locker motor? When I installed mine I noticed the little tube coming out of the locker and was wondering if I should extend it

Yeah I made a breather, kinda random, but I had a messed up brake line laying around so I just cut about a 1 inch piece of that and jammed it in one end and bought some hose and jammed the hose on to the other end...been holding up just fine and I've been through quite a bit of water with it.

i know this is old but i plan on doing this really soon. i just picked up a 4.30 elocker from a 2000 4runner. im gonna regear to 4.88. i have an extra axle housing im gonna do the mod to.
i have a 88 4runner v6 auto with a few questions.
do i need different axle shaft or will they plug into the elocker?
will the elocker pinion flange bolt up to my drive shaft?

one last thing.
i have G292 which is confusing because i have checked and i do have a v6 diff. but according to the axle code its only 2 pinon? there for my axle shafts wont work with the elocker?
If you have the axle code of your vehicle, it is easy to find out what size differential, what ratio, and what pinion set-up you have. This will also help if you are hunting for a particular unit off another vehicle. The axle code is in the vehicle ID plate under the hood or drivers door. The axle code is 4 digits: a letter followed by 3 numbers.
Example: G292 = 8.0" 4.10 final ratio 2 pinion
Code:
1ST R&P SIZE 2nd/3rd R&P RATIO 4th DIGIT PINION SET-UP
F = 7.5" 07 = 3.900 2 = 2 pinion
G = 8.0" 08 = 4.110 3 = 2 pinion LSD
10 = 4.375 4 = 4 pinion
14 = 4.875 5 = 4 pinion LSD
25 = 4.556
28 = 4.300
29 = 4.100

I have bought 2 Elockers in the past couple months. One for $150 and one for $250. Both appear in excellent condition and were takeouts of totaled Tacomas.
There are deals out there if you look often and are patient. I walked away from a LOT of people until I found good deals since I was not in a hurry.
Also, remember you do NOT have to find a deal "out here". UPS goes everywhere!!! I am in California and bought my last one from a guy in Ga. UPS is about $50 to ship a bucket with a 3rd in it across the country. Cheaper if you know someone with a business and a UPS account and you can set up shipping to ANY business address.
