86 Topper Install - Help Needed

I recently picked up an 86 Longbox 2WD with low miles and scored a topper for cheap as well. I have a few questions as to how other have installed toppers on trucks with the railside beds such as this:Name: 251676_173278816066851_100001542015509_433890_1476154_n_zpsb106383e.jpg

There is no lip on the inside of the bed rain to use a standard clamp. It looks like the previous owner of the truck may have drilled holes to mount a topper? The topper i have came off of a 78 Toyota longbox and i don't see holes in it... Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks!
