86 steering wheel in 87 pickup?
Can anyone confirm that a steering wheel from an 86 4Runner can be used in an 87 pickup with no modifications? I know the 2 wheels are different, primarily the horn button setup. But I'm hoping that the wheels will interchange and I'd like to know before I go through the trouble of R&Ring them. Also if it makes any difference, the 4Runner had a tilt column and the pickup does not.

i don't think they'd be different, '84-88 pickups and '84-89 runners all had the same steering wheel IIRC. however if the splines are the same(pretty sure all toyota are the same) it'll work.

Well, I know that there are at least 2 different steering wheels because my dad's 87 has 2 horn buttons, 1 on each spoke. He was telling me how he prefers a single horn button in the center of the wheel, which it turns out is how the wheels from my pickup and 4Runner (both 86) are set up. Since I'm parting out the 4Runner, I'd like to give him the steering wheel. I assume it would fit just fine, but I was hoping that someone on here could verify it before I went through the trouble of sending it to him.
I've made similar ASSumptions before and only ended up making an ass out of myself.
