3.0 V6 muffler size 2.5 or 2.25?

In order to gain more power for low to mid range,
I am planning to change larger muffler from stock.
I don't want to get too loud.

Using stock Cat convertor and end pipe. changing just muffler.

2.5 in & out too big for 3.0 V6?
Is 2.25 better for low & mid range feel?

Getting 2.5 cat convertor? more effective?

Thanks

if you want to wheel this rig much stay with the 2.25 it will give you better back pressure for the low end you may need granted the 3.0 has no power it would be your best bet. you could always put in a high flow cat and that will help some also

Thanks for your advice.

That is what I thought.
I am geting high flow air filter round open type.

What do you think about remove cat and 2.25" Flowmaster 50 or 60 series with stock (2" or 2 1/8?)end pipe?

Once agian I want low to mid range power.
Too loud for trail ride?

this might be dumb question....

in order to increase the flow, I have to use 2.25" or bigger end pipe..
If I use stock end pipe = no increase of performance even I install 2.25" muffler..correct?
