ok went out for a drive tonight and heard some more nioses coming from my rear end....when i reversed out of my drive way and through it into drive (auto) i heard a ding come from the rear end...sounded like a pipe hit the ground...and as i drove i heard it again and again...only when i hit the gas...not all the time but if i was just idling around town and hit the gas it would do it...i dunno what do you guys think...another thing...is it my rear axle...i have a blown drivers side axle seal...if it is then i might swap another axle in...maybe one from a taco with an e-locker...prolly gonna have to look at some junk yards

I keep telling you, it is your u-joints. The ding you are hearing is the play in your drive shaft. as soon as you hit the gass the play you have catches, and makes this sound.

Always change them both. I would not just do one. If it is making that ding noise, it must be really bad. I would change it ASAP to avoid it braking on you as you are driving, and you don't want that to happend. Could do alot of damage..........................

I got them replaced by the shop I always use. I could not belive how smooth the ride was after doing it. It was like getting a new rig. It drove me nuts for quite some time, but this yotatech lead me to the right thing and told me it was the u-joints., so I went for it, and it fixed it. YOTATECH ROCKS in my book. I will go nowhere else for info on my yota but here.

You can get them at any auto parts store, but they are not easy to do. not for me anyway.
