22re cylinder scoring

Hey everyone,

I have a 22re that needs honing but the 3rd cylinder has a score mark that runs down the bore a thou or 2 deep its only one line down. if i was to get it the cylinders honed and new rings could i get away with just one line or is that a no go??

thanks,

Depending on how deep it is, it might be gone after honing. If so, you're golden. If not, I'd suggest getting it bored over to the next size. I can't tell you if honing will cure your problem, a shop tech might be able to look at it and say "You're fine," but you'd have to ask a shop tech to know for sure.
