that sounds like your timing chain. the dot on the harmonic balancer is supposed to stay in one place. how longs it been since you replaced the timing chain?

could i have put the new chain on wrong?? The mark on the pully lines up with the mark at 0 on the pump while the cam sproket mark is at 12 oclock so im not sure why the mark is jumping under the light... And the truck has no power under load??

If this is the case could that explain the loss of power and hesitation under load?? All was well before i did the timing chain and HG so this is all new stuff that i need to get tuned and fixed Im not to familar with distributers and or bushings so the bushings are whats causing the mark to jump... Is the mark jsut jumping or is it affecting the timing at the time it jumps,,, the moter sounds fine at idle even under the light when its jumping... thanks for the help i deff need it
