Yeah, I can see where quality comes into play. I have what is listed as the 'cheap' spacers above, they ggive me no problems at all so with the right product I cant immagine having problems, I doubt someone would make and sell something to customers knowing it will fail I have just heard to steer clear of spacers all together.

on that note, the spacers from marlin say 5lug, 5.5" pattern, good? and total would come out close to $175 for all 4... hmmm. sounds quality-ish enough for me. maybe when i have my rear locker, i'll go for those, simply for cosmetics. maybe just for the back so i get the sweet mud patterns. wooo

i had a pair of 1.25" spacers on for 1 day, i could feel the difference on the ride. the handling is tighter without the spacers, bit "lose" with spacers. that's only for speed over 50mph. at low speed, i couldn't tell any difference. quality spacers are not a bad thing, just run with whatever the smallest you can get away with.

i have "junk" spacers on my rig now, it works perfectly fine. BUT i'd not use any thing like that for more than 1/4".

what do you NEED 3" spacers for? 31" BFG A/T tires are pefect without any spacers. regardless how good they work, but first you will need a pair of go'ol' fender flares to cover it up, most of the cops won't give it a dime about tires sticking out half inch or even 1", but with 3" on each side, you will be pulled over in no time.

i sdont need 3", but i found a good deal for bolt on ones(good ones) on ebay awhile ago for like 50 bucks for 2. just want to widen my wheel base a bit, it looks kind of weird. so i should look for 1/2 inch to 1 inch spacers?

i don't think 1/2" is possible, because the length of your factory lug studs. for 1/4" spacers, it's a simple bolt-on between the rim and hub and your factory lugnuts still have plenty of thread to grab on. for 1.25" adapter type spacers, spacer itself is bolt-on to the hub first, then rim is bolt-on to the spacer's stud. 1/2" is in between, simple bolt-on will leave no thread for the factory lug to hold on, for adapter type it's too short to cover the studs.

i've seen 1" adapter type spacers, but it's 1/8" shorter then the studs length. if i see them again, i'll try them on because the Toyota factory alloy rims have some hollow space between the lug holes.
