Im running a 12.50 width tire on a 15x8" wheel. No problems. there.

Can't tell you about the backspacing.

People say you're supposed to stay within 4" of width, ie, 10.5" tire on no less than a 6.5" rim..but you can go to 6". If put them on too skinny of wheel, then the center is going to bulge out, on too wide and the center will bulge "in". 15x8 is a good size for 12.5" tires.

What size backspacing do you have now. Calculate it that way. See how much it is going to take to prevent rubbing

well on your axle its wider if u have the stock one for your year and wheel adapter is where it bolts on to your stock studs than it has studs on itself to push the wheel out farther so it dont rub
